About our cottage

Oozing rural charm and rustic character, The Beehive Holiday Cottage is situated in the picturesque surroundings of Combs Valley, a perfect backdrop for a short break.

 

It is centrally located to explore the most visited National Park in the world, with a rich cultural background of stately homes, ancient lead mines, picturesque watermills, a network of old packhorse ways, and many historical towns and villages.

The cottage is located next to the pub (which is run by the owners Stefan and Jackie) – Combs Reservoir is a short flat walk away from the cottage, in addition there is some excellent hillside walking around the valley and beyond.

 

You enter the cottage by way of the kitchen, which is fully equipped with all the essentials you will require for your stay, and benefits from an occasional breakfast bar, beyond which is the main dining area.

 

This area is open plan to the lounge, all with wooden floors and fabrics, adding to its welcoming charm. The lounge has a sofa bed, which suitable for occasional use, and also benefits from having a log burning stove. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with hand basin and toilet.

 

Stairs from the lounge lead to the good sized bedroom, with a double bed, and enjoys views of the surrounding fields and village stream. The bathroom, on this floor, has a bath, with shower over, hand basin and toilet.

 

To the rear of the property are views over the countryside, which takes in the afternoon and early evening sun.
